Climate
The I-12 Alliance region is a place of great natural beauty. Green and blue are the dominant colors of the area, with abundant woodlands and beautiful waterways throughout the five parishes. The region provides a year-round temperate climate, which allows for year-round enjoyment of many outdoor activities. Average temperatures in the region range from 51 to 79 degrees.

The area is dotted with beautiful lakes and streams and the natural beauty of well-preserved wilderness and woodlands. For example, St. Helena and Washington Parishes are known for their beautiful woodland areas, and St.

Tammany Parish is home to 77,000 acres of land that have been designated as national wildlife reserves, state wildlife management areas, or state parks.
