The University of New Orleans/Slidell Advanced Technology and Research Park is at the heart of the technology corridor. The park will be the second phase of the existing Research and Technology Park operated by the University of New Orleans at its Lakefront Campus.

The new park will be located on a 400-acre tract of land in southeast Slidell along I-10. One hundred acres will accommodate academic and research institutes along with local and national private companies that seek a campus-like environment and relationships with the University of New Orleans. The remaining 300 acres will be developed as a commercial lifestyle development featuring retail, office, hotel, conference center, and residential space.

The Research and Technology Park will help build the Louisiana’s emerging technology industries, including aerospace and environmental sciences. It will also take advantage of its central location between Michoud and Stennis Space Centers, which will play pivotal roles in construction of the next generation of space exploration vehicles.
