 |  One of Louisiana's historic Florida Parishes, St Helena was established in 1810. It is minutes from Interstate 55 and is bordered by Mississippi to the north. The Amite River forms the western boundary of the parish, while the Tickfaw River flows along the eastern side. Louisiana Scenic Highway 10, once known as the Choctaw Trail, crosses the parish just below its northern border. | | |

 | St Helena encompasses more than a quarter million acres, with approximately 200,000 acres in timber. Greensburg, the parish seat, is home to several historic buildings, as well as a campus of the Louisiana Technical College. Today, St Helena's economy is based on mining, forestry and the dairy and truck farming industries.
